For organisations
Your priorities.
Practical support.
You understand your organisation and community. EST helps you explore how experienced volunteers could support the skills your team wants to develop.
We welcome enquiries from charities, NGOs, community organisations and other organisations with a clear social purpose, in the UK and overseas.
Possible areas of support
Where experience could help.
Water storage
Sharing knowledge on planning, operation and maintenance with local teams.
Medical education
Supporting learning and professional development with appropriately qualified people, within local requirements.
Renewable energy
Helping teams understand options, plan projects and build operational knowledge.
Project management
Strengthening planning, budgets, delivery and evaluation.
Business management
Developing practical skills in operations, financial planning and sustainable enterprise.
These are examples of possible support. Each piece of work starts with a partner-defined need and an assessment of fit.
You remain in the lead.
Together, we clarify the outcome, who will learn, the time involved and how the knowledge will be shared.
Support can be remote, in person or blended. Volunteers work alongside your team and respect local knowledge and decision-making. They must not displace local jobs or substitute for paid local expertise.

A shared challenge.
A useful contribution.
Your organisation could work with a company team on a focused piece of work, from business planning and project management to engineering or specialist training.
Company volunteering can also bring colleagues together through team building. Your priorities come first: we agree the brief, the skills to be shared and a practical outcome for your team. Support can be remote, in person or blended, in the UK or overseas.
Our team has already organised company volunteering and team-building programmes through Global Support Link. EST builds on that experience as a separate initiative.
